Unity People – Terms of Business

  1. Introduction

Unity People provides HR consultancy and services, Occupational Health & Safety (H&S) training, Fire Safety training, general H&S services (including policies and annual reports), and wellbeing consultancy and training. These Terms of Business set out the basis on which we deliver our services. By engaging with Unity People, you agree to abide by these terms.

  1. Scope of Services

We offer:

  • HR Consultancy – advice, policies, procedures, support and training on all areas of employment and people management.
  • Occupational H&S Training – tailored training sessions to meet workplace compliance needs.
  • Fire Safety Training – practical and theoretical training to support fire safety awareness and compliance.
  • General H&S Services – including policy development, annual reports, audits and compliance support.
  • Wellbeing Consultancy & Training – workshops and consultancy to promote employee and corporate wellbeing.
  1. Fees & Payment
  • Fees will be agreed in advance and confirmed in writing.
  • Invoices are payable within 30 days of issue unless otherwise agreed.
  • Late payments may incur interest at the statutory rate.
  • Travel, accommodation or material costs (if applicable) will be agreed in advance and charged separately.
  1. Cancellations & Rescheduling
  • Training sessions cancelled with less than 7 days’ notice may be charged at 50% of the agreed fee.
  • Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice may be charged in full.
  • We will make every effort to reschedule where possible.
  1. Responsibilities of Unity People
  • Deliver services with professionalism, care and in line with current legislation and best practice.
  • Provide qualified facilitators and consultants.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information, except where disclosure is required by law.
  1. Responsibilities of Clients
  • Provide accurate information and access to relevant staff, premises and documentation as required.
  • Ensure participants are available for training sessions and comply with health and safety requirements.
  • Treat Unity People staff and facilitators with courtesy and respect.
  1. Conduct & Behaviour
  • All participants are expected to display kindness and respect in words and actions towards facilitators and fellow participants.
  • Communication on social media or messaging platforms relating to Unity People sessions should remain professional and courteous.
  • Any behaviour deemed inappropriate, discriminatory or disruptive may result in removal from the session or termination of services without refund.
  1. Confidentiality & Data Protection
  • Unity People will handle all client information in accordance with UK GDPR and Data Protection legislation.
  • Personal data will only be used for the purpose of delivering agreed services.
  1. Liability
  • Unity People accepts no liability for loss or damage arising from reliance on advice or training beyond the scope of agreed services.
  • Clients remain responsible for implementing policies, procedures and training outcomes within their organisation.
  1. Termination of Services
  • Either party may terminate services with written notice.
  • Unity People reserves the right to withdraw services immediately if the Code of Conduct or these Terms are breached.
  1. Governing Law

These Terms of Business are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
